Why Do Children Fall Behind In School?
In my experience, children typically fall behind in school due to some form of lack of instruction. For example, they missed the instruction due to an absence or they weren’t paying close enough attention. On the other hand, maybe the material wasn’t presented in the child’s unique learning style, or the child just needed it repeated. However, there are many reasons children don’t perform well in a subject area or fall behind. Be that as it may, offering customized lessons through tutoring and homeschooling tailored to specific educational needs is the key to success now and in the future.
What reading comprehension strategies do you use?
Clear instruction regarding the structure of a story helps children to recall a narrative. Furthermore, it improves their memory of the story. Children need to be aware of the components of story structure in order to understand it fully. Importantly, these components include setting, characters, problem, events, outcome, solution, and theme. Story maps visually represent a logical sequence of a story. They are used before reading to predict what may happen. In particular, they’re used during reading to monitor information as it unfolds. Furthermore, children are able to confirm and discount earlier predictions using story maps. All aspects of reading may need individualized instruction. This instruction can be taught in a tutoring or home education setting by a certified teacher. Moreover, lesson plans are specifically designed for your child’s progress.
